To choose the Syntax for the current Page:

  1. Go to the "Information" Tab and click on the edit link (pencil icon) on "Syntax".

    Information

By default only the latest XWiki Syntax is enabled. If your administrator has configured other Syntaxes, then you have the option to choose what Syntax you want to use for writing the content of a Page, see the Rendering wiki for a full list of available Syntaxes.

  3. Convert the content to the new Syntax:

  4. Save the modifications (or discard them).

Information

It's also possible to choose a Syntax when editing a Page, in some editors.

Warning

When changing the Page Syntax in the "Information" Tab, the Realtime Collaboration feature is disconnected. Thus, if other users were editing the Page at the same time, some merging conflicts may occur and they'll need to be resolved manually.

As a result, the Common Edit Actions are shown instead of Realtime Edit Actions.
