XWiki 12.6 Released
This release brings WYSIWYG editor integration with comments and annotations, allowing for easy insertion of mentions into comments and annotations. Talking about mentions, the mention summary is now included in the notification message. As for the notifications, they are now pre-filtered when the event occurs and stored (also) on a separate Solr core, which improves considerably the time spent to retrieve and display them. For developers we have a new "content footer" UI extension point that might be of interest. Besides that this release includes, as usual, a fair amount of bug fixes and other small improvements. ...

XWiki 12.5 Released
Among other things, this release introduces the ability to mention a user, either inside the content of a page, object or comment, resulting in a notification being sent to that particular user. The in-place editing feature, additionally to the existing WYSIWYG mode, now also supports editing pages in source mode. Finally, it is now possible to toggle to "in context" modifications when using the "rendered diff" viewer to display the changes between 2 versions of a page. On the performances side, a new method for storing and quering events inside the wiki has been introduced which will greatly improve the performance issues related to notifications, but it is not yet enabled by default, since more work is needed. Also, renaming a page is now finally an "atomic" operation, meaning that it will be properly handled as a "rename" and no longer as a combination of "delete" + "copy", as before, which was leading to many problems, specially when the page had a large history. Some new tools have been added for developers and, as usual, many bugs have been fixed during this month. ...

XWiki 12.5RC1 Released
Among other things, this release introduces the ability to mention a user, who will receive a notification each time she is mentionned in the content of a page, an object, or a comment. The in-place editing now offers the ability to display and edit the source (in the current syntax) of the page, and it is now possible to display the context of a modification in the "rendered diff" viewer.
On the performances side, a new asynchronous event store (maily used for notifications) has been created, but is still not enabled by default. Also, renaming a page is now an "atomic" operation, meaning that some bugs we had while trying to rename a page which had a huge history are now fixed.
Some new tools has been added for the developers, and as usual, many bugs have been fixed during this month. ...
