Recovery procedure for lost notifications filters

XWiki 15.10.2, 15.10.3 and 15.10.4 are containing a version of a migration that leads to the permanent deletion of all notification filters related to subwiki pages. If you performed an upgrade to one of this version and you used a subwiki then you're impacted about this regression and should follow this procedure. If you upgraded to a later version (15.10.5 or after) or if you don't have any subwiki, then you're not impacted by this regression. ...

XWiki 15.10.5 Released

The XWiki development team is relieved to announce the availability of XWiki 15.10.5. This is a bug fix release to fix important regressions found after releasing XWiki 15.10.4. In particular if you already upgraded to a previous version of 15.10.x you might have hit a regression causing loss of notification filters: you're invited to follow the recovery procedure from backup that will be posted soon to retrieve back those data. See the release notes for more information. ...

Important regression in XWiki 15.10.3 / 15.10.4

We found an important regression in XWiki 15.10.3 and XWiki 15.10.4 on the migration we provided to clean up the notification filters. This regression impacts the notification filters created for pages in subwikis: those are lost when the migration is performed. We advise any administrator who hasn't performed the upgrade yet, to postpone it until further notice as there is a risk of data loss. We will provide information soon to Administrators who already performed the upgrade on the possibility to recover the lost filters from database backups. There is no possibility of recovery without backups: instances already migrated without database backups have entirely lost the filters for subwiki pages. [Edit from the 17/01: XWiki 15.10.5 has been released which fixes the regression. A recovery procedure has been posted to explain how to recover data from backup.] ...
